When it arrived I saw that it was totally different than the production Major Havoc and Tollian Web PCB's. The harness of the Alpha 1 cabinet is labeled Tollian Web but the pinouts for the PCB are different, therefore a finger board (conversion harness) was handmade and has written on it. The actual game is very close to the production version but is missing a few final touches such as sound effects and smoother graphics. It was labeled Tollian Web (many of the early Major Havoc PCB's were still labeled this way, but have the new code burned in the EPROM's) but had many jumper wires scattered around the board. The game PCB that came with the cabinet was actually very close to a production Major Havoc PCB. The area under the marquee is where the speakers are and the center square is actually a peice of glass with very nice handmade graphics overlayed with mylar. The cabinet itself is actually a Crytal Castles cabinet. The game has an Amplifone monitor in it (dated 11/22/83 and labeled "with diode mods"). Yikes! The picture here is after I finished getting it all cleaned up and running. I bought it from John Morrison (Sunnyvale) who in turn bought it at a garage sale from a former Atari employee for $50. Im lucky enough to own this beastly now finally. Mark added the last four levels of the game (13,14,15,16), he made them hard enough that no one could get past them (he thought). When plugged in to a 240-volt outlet, that time shrinks to a more manageable 4.5 hours for a full charge. When it’s plugged in to a standard 120-volt household outlet, Chevrolet estimates, it will take 13 hours to recharge from empty. That big power source also translates to longer charging times than manyt rivals, however. The Volt’s large 18.4-kWh battery lets the car outstrip many plug-in hybrid competitors for range. There’s almost no noise from the powertrain during electric-only operation, and even the gas engine, once engaged, is usually so quiet that’s it’s easy to miss the transition. Its default power-delivery mode is to propel itself with electricity until its battery is depleted, at which time the gasoline engine kicks in to recharge the battery. The Volt’s powertrain uses two electric motors and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine to deliver quick, relatively powerful acceleration and impressive fuel economy. And there are three new exterior paint colors: Green Mist Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, and Cajun Red Tintcoat. Some interior trim materials in the LT have been downgraded from leather to vinyl. Although these models are getting to be more mainstream, Chevrolet’s once revolutionary Volt plug-in hybrid has remained a popular choice in a class that includes the Ford Fusion Energi, the Honda Clarity, and the Toyota Prius Prime. It will help you immensely if you make a similar chart for the keyboard you are working on. Please remember that all keyboards are different. Below is a chart that I made for the particular keyboard I was working on. One way to simplify the matter is to consider one sheet "SIDE A" and the other "SIDE B". Once you have labeled both plastic sheets with all of the corresponding keys (that you plan to use in your project), the next thing you need to do is to trace the letters back to the circuit board with a Sharpie (see notes on pictures). So, for instance, if you were to press down "A" on the keyboard, label the plastic circle on both sheets of plastic that would be pushed together if the "A" key would strike (see picture of labeled sheets). What you need to do is to label each conductive circle on both sheets with the letter key that corresponds to it. This completes the circuit and tells the board to send a letter, number or command back to the computer. When you press down on a key, the tracings on both sheets will touch each other. One plastic sheet will have printed conductive tracings that go to one set of pins on the circuit board and the other sheet will have tracings that go to another set of pins on the circuit board. ![]() ![]() ![]() The inside of the case should have two plastic sheets (one on top of the other). ![]() I believe that Didact Gothic will be your best Google Font Alternative. The charge enclosed for those problems can be calculated as an integral of ρ(r)*dV. Magnetic Flux is defined as the surface integral of the normal component of the Magnetic Field (B) propagating through that surface. Sometimes, it's harder (but still doable□) if we're given a density rho (ρ) as a function of radius. However, we can usually find the value for q_enc if we have an evenly distributed charge density (meaning that 1/2 of the total volume encloses 1/2 of the total charge) easily. We generally denote it with English letter D. Answer Known: The flux in this position is measured to be 5.20 x 10 5 N.m 2 /C Area, A r 2 (0.200) 2 0.126 m 2, then E EA cos 5.20 x 10 5 E (0.126) cos 0 0 E 4.14 x 10 6 N/C Problem 3 What is the electric flux through a sphere that has a radius of 1.0 m and carries a charge of +1. This is called electric flux density at the said point. This is the flux passing through per unit area at a distance r from the center of the charge. When dealing with complicated Gauss' Law problems (in FRQ and MCQ sections of the AP Exam), sometimes we only have a portion of the total Q as q_enc. The above equation can be rewritten as, This is the expression of flux per unit area since, 4r 2 is the surface area of the imaginary spare of radius r. However, the enclosed charge and total flux are the two values proportional to one another in Gauss' Law, so make sure that your Gaussian Shape that you draw/choose encloses the charge described fully. ![]() When drawing Gaussian Surfaces, the size of that surface is indepdent of the amount of flux through the surface. Common static electricity involves charges ranging from nanocoulombs to microcoulombs. The electric flux through an area is defined. Many students lose an easy point on an FRQ section each and every year (as almost every year sees a charge distribution FRQ on the exam), so don't let that be you! Electric Charge and Electric Field Example Problems with Solutions. The total of the electric flux out of a closed surface is equal to the charge enclosed divided by the permittivity. It's important to note that when we define a Gaussian Surface, especially on an AP Exam FRQ section, that we choose a 3-D shape (like pill-box or sphere) and not a 2-D shape like a circle. In short, Gauss's Law states that sum of the charge sources within a closed surface is equal to the total electric flux through the surface.
